1st Team vs. Fish Hoek

Fish Hoek batted first and were dismissed for 160 with all the bowlers contributing but it was the spinners that put the straps on the run rate and picking up wickets. Duane Abel 2/22, Derek Brand 2/14 and Eric Osner 1/18, supported by Brendon Philander 2/44 and Harry Veal 2/30....

NGCC then reached the target with 3 wickets in hand after a late helter skelter for pads with Derek Brand top scoring with 33 and contributions from Larry Dorman 27, Mario Penwarden 27, Werner Moolman 25 and Prince Harry 20.... This gave NGCC a bonus point win... Well done boys.

1st XI vs. Primrose

In the second match of the weekends double header In the One day Cup, NGCC came up against Premier League side Primrose.
Primrose scored 194 in their allotted 50overs with Marvin de Kock the destroyer in chief ripping through the top order with 3/24 in 6 overs.... He was well supported by the spinners who once again put the stops on the run rate and in particular Derek Brand who took 3/15 in 7 overs.

The NGCC response was held together by skipper Jason Underwood who smashed an enterprising 78, however it fell just short of crossing the line resulting in a very credible tie.... despite heroics from Duane and Eric at the end.... A top effort lads, stay positive and keep working hard. Thanks to all the supporters yesterday, top quality.

2nd vs. Bonteheuwel

NGCC batted first and posted a respectable 244, with contributions from Quewin o Connor 33, Michael September 29, Jason Wright 27, legend Michael o Connor 26*, Morne du Randt 24, Ardiel Jaffer 20 and Rejeanne Botha 20.

Bonteheuwel were dismissed for 174 runs thanks to a top bowling effort from Marvin de Kock 4/44 and Jason Wright 3/27 well supported by Morne du Randt and Bradley February.... The win handed us a bonus point win....

Great result Jason and the boys....

3rd vs. Cravenby

NGCC won the toss and elected to bat first, they were restricted to 153 all out due to some excellent bowling from Cravenby, however there were still good contributions from Louis Franken 25, Hassen Parker 39 and Clarence Sparks 19.

The Cravenby run chase ended in a tight finish with NGCC never giving up and buoyed on by lots of Club support saw them pull a rabbit out of the hat, winning by 12 runs, top bowling performances from Zunaid Kathrada 4/35, Vincent Scritten 3/29.

6th XI vs. Bellville South

Ngcc batted first posting 227 with Skipper Peter Heaney top scoring with 63, well supported with good contributions from Alistiar September 41, Bradley February 25, Charl du Plessis 24 and Juan Harley 20.
A good team bowling effort saw NGCC winning by 110 runs with B. February 2/26, C.Du plessis 1/40, A.September 1/21,C. Butcher 3/9 and J. Harley 1/18 in good form...
